Thanksgiving Glass Clings
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, mostly because it revolves around food and drinks. If you are holding a mini cocktail hour before the big meal, these Glass Clings help provide a little order amongst the chaos of entertaining.
No matter how much I plan, I usually end up in the weeds when cooking a big meal, and it always helps to have a glass (preferably, my own), nearby to save time and a little sanity. Everyone always congregates in the kitchen, but now I have a non-permanent, convenient marker to identify my Sauvignon Blanc.
CRICUT TOOLS:
Standard Cricut® Mat
Premium Fine Point Blade
Cricut® Window Cling
1) Upload the Thanksgiving Glass Cling SVG. to the Cricut Design Space.
2) For this project, you only need a 2x12” piece of the window cling material for 6 clings. If you need more than 6, just “double the recipe” and add a little more length to your material when you place it on the mat.
3) Once the pattern is cut, carefully remove the outside edges from the pattern by carefully sliding the Exacto blade under the edge of the Window Cling film to weed it from the liner.
4) Peel the shapes and apply them directly to your glass of choice. Be careful not to place them too high (you don’t want your lips to hit it). To reuse these from year to year, place them back on the paper backing from your original cut. *Do not wash them in the dishwasher or lose them down your sink drain.
4) Ta da! Now you have a fun way to identify your drink no matter what chaos ensues during the holidays! Don’t feel constrained by the shapes provided, this material can be used to cut your guest’s initials, favorite flower or any themed shape that suits your gathering.
